Our Teaching Team

“Learning is a journey, not a destination.”

Here at Learning Unlimited, our teachers endeavor to provide an inspiring learning environment that will spark endless curiosity and possibilities. Come and meet our professional, passionate and friendly teaching team:

Helen Buxton

Hello and Kia Ora, my name is Helen Buxton and I am the Centre Manager of Learning Unlimited Childcare. I am originally from England and moved to New Zealand with my husband in 2013 after an amazing travelling adventure.  We fell in love with the country, so we never left.

I am a qualified and registered teacher and have over 12 years’ experience in early childhood.  I have a passion to educate children and support their learning through everyday experiences.  I believe children are the future and it is important we care, support, and encourage them to reach their full potential. I love being able to make a difference in a young’s child’s life helping them to learn and grow into competent confident learners.  I am passionate in providing a respectful and nurturing environment for the children at our centre.

In my down time I love keeping active, attending the gym, hiking, paddle boarding, cycling, being outdoors and socialising with friends.  I look forward to being part of your child’s learning journey here at Learning Unlimited.

Nicole Wilson

Kia Ora, my name is Nicole, and I am the infant and toddler head teacher here at Learning Unlimited. I am a proud mother of a toddler, who is my absolute world.  I am a qualified and registered teacher and have been in the ECE industry for over 16 years, with the past 10 years in a variety of leadership roles.

As a teacher I endeavor to provide children with a learning environment based on the aspirations of each child. This enables and supports them to grow up as confident, competent, and capable learners.  I also believe that collaboration between teachers, parents and whanau is valuable.  It plays an important part to developing their child’s positive self-image and sense of belonging.  Not only do I see my role as a teacher rewarding, but it is also a privilege to be making a positive impact in a child’s first years of their lives.

In my down time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, travelling, getting away for a relaxing weekend, watching movies and reading a good book.  I look forward to getting to know you, your child, and your whanau.
